A year later and I am still getting complements on my Z51. I did the drive through to get coffee on the weekend. The young lady at the windows leaned way out, almost had her head in my window to give me my coffee, and said "Nice Car!"
That will never get old!
(May of helped that I had her in Track Mode and so she was making a pretty noise )
I have only had mine out a few times since I bought in January, but every time I stop someone is asking about the car or saying how much they like it. I had my 10 year old son out for a ride a few weeks ago with the top off to pick up some lunch. When we got back home he kept telling my wife how everyone was staring at us in the car while we were driving, and how the lady that worked at the restaurant came out to tell dad that she loves the car and wanted to see it up close.
Mine is a daily driver so it's always parked somewhere in Pittsburgh... and being bright yellow with everything blacked out, it's very appealing to us black and gold lovers.
Additionally I am active in the big brothers big sisters program... So I'm occasionally in "lesser income" areas where the kids all want to take pictures and crowd around the car. I open the door and let them get pictures in the driver seat... Whatever makes them smile.
I can confirm this car draws a lot of attention and sometimes in my opinion it can be bad attention as well, for example: often when cruising on a freeway people will try to drive beside me, match my speed, rev it up and try to race - this happens often. Another day a young couple driving down in the highway pulled beside me and started honking his horn and giving me thumbs up...because he was looking at my car, his car started to drift and approach mine very close as we were both doing 80 mph...I had to break hard in order to avoid a collision - just an example of bad attention.
I've got a 2014 NRB, my wife always chuckles when we go out in it.
Says when we are on the highway, 90% of the men stare at the car and only about 50% of the women. She is amazed at how many times we get the thumbs up as we go by. The other day I took her out ( a warm day here in the North East and as I was coming up in the fast lane, people were actually moving over and waving me on by. What a hoot!
At the last Cars and Coffee, I noticed how much attention the C7s were getting. There were two Ferraris and a Lambo, but it didn't matter the Vettes are the cars that get the attention. I think part of it is, folks can identify with the Vette as a car they can aspire to purchase where the Ferrari and the Lambo are strictly for the very wealthy. So they get a casual look, but few spend time oogaling a car they'll never own. Just my opinion, but I know I fall into that category.

My all black 2ss very Camaro got a lot of compliments the first couple years. Less recently. Mostly middle age and older guys only... Not young hotties.
Picking up my 2lt z51 tomorrow. It's white with red leather, black wheels and red calipers. I suspect it will get some looks!

Cant say I disagree with you. The vette is a super sport car with a very afford price, well the base c7 that is. Exotics are rare around here so I break my neck sometimes looking at it. If i would live in a wealthy area where exotics are the norm then itll just be like any other car.
Following my girlfriend's car after picking up the Vette less than an hour earlier from the dealer. At a light and woman pulled up next to me and gave me a thumbs up and a big smile....first thought, oh, boy, this is going to be an interesting (as I was looking to see if the significant other peeped it out) spring/summer....
The next day, filling up the tank, guy behind me asks " how fast have you gone?" Got to prepare myself mentally for the attention (1st Vette)...

You will get this for years to come as I get them every year and I have a 2011 GS...I think it's the fact it's white and lets face it, white cars are just cooler
