Was filling the tank yesterday and a young guy walked by with a huge grin and complimented the car as he went into the convenience store. More compliments on the way out.
Pleasantly surprised, thought that since the C7s have been out for a while, they'd attract less attention. Don
I really feel as though this car will attract attention 5 years from now. It is a classic style that will hold it's own for years to come.
Where I live there are lots of them on the road and I still get compliments often, more than I did when it was new and fewer of them running around.
As a car was rolling through the parking lot the other day, and I was getting into mine, a young lady passenger leaned out her window, and screamed, "I LOVE YOUR CAR!!!!"
Up here in the land of giant 4x4 trucks and pine trees, I drive around virtually unnoticed. AFAIK there are no other Corvettes in my town, and only one within a twenty mile drive.
You will get this for years to come as I get them every year and I have a 2011 GS...I think it's the fact it's white and lets face it, white cars are just cooler
I'm a little shocked at how much attention these cars get. I love my car, but realize it's a mass production GM vehicle. However, I typically get people taking pictures, asking questions, thumbs up and requests to rev the engine. Even the last C&O, I came back to the car and a family was taking multiple pictures with them posing around the car. Thought it was a little humorous considering how many true exotics were there.
I have had my C7 for a year now and have gotten a thumbs up or compliment when at a gas station or a stop light every time I have been out cruising, etc.
If you've owned a 'Vette for more than oh, about a day, you've most certainly heard many compliments. I have a '15 TR Z51 convertible and hear compliments almost every time I drive it. Had an "11 TR Grand sport convertible before this and got nearly as much attention. Although I certainly didn't buy the car for the attention it gets, I will say it feels good to get them.
People are still awe struck by this car but it is nothing like how it was back in 2014!
I too still get the occasional compliment, thumbs up, etc. I didn't buy my car for the attention but it's nice that some people appreciate it's "coolness" factor as much as I do!
We were at the museum yesterday and a couple was walking out as I was parking and they gave smiles and thumbs up. I saw them after I parked and they commented on how beautiful the car is. They had just been viewing the collection of great cars inside and they still wanted to talk about mine. I love talking to people about my car and the Corvette in general. LBR does catch the eye.
You hardly ever see a newer Corvette in Portland. Or any Corvette for that matter. I think they only sell about 250 a year here in the whole state of Oregon, tops! But folks seem to have not seen the C7 model before. Its alway like I'm in a parade and people are acknowledging the car. I never expected that before I bought it in Nov. When I took my wife out for a ride in it shortly after we bought it she said "when did you get so famous?"
We have had several Vetts...and they all generate attention.
The best was when driving up 301 north of Ocala Fl., and a lady was hanging out of the passenger window taking pictures of us, at about 70 miler per hour!
It's really a nice compliment! We enjoy it, and enjoy our fine piece of American automotive engineering!!

Reason: spelling
However I get about ten thousand percent more with this car. I've iened it now for about 14 months. The attention has not subsided at all.
I never driven it even one time that I do not get multiple gawkers or inquiries.
It never ceases to amaze me. I could literally write a book.
A couple days ago, two young ladies pulled up next to me and snapped some pictures of me. I am only 78, so I am sure it was me and not my 2015 B/S Z51 vert they were

Interesting treatment on the mirrors. What exactly did you do?
My son and I invented a phrase for all the attention....whenever one of us drove it, we would come back and report how many Vette-tales" we had to recount. People gawking, taking pics, wanting to race, asking all about it, etc. Two years into ownership we still get Vette-tales everywhere we go!!!!
Interesting observation on reactions depending on who's driving the C7: He's 25 and I am over 65....people treat him like he is a spoiled brat, and me like an ole wise guy!

I had the mirrors wrapped in carbon flash vinyl to match the stinger on the front and rear.
It's a little tricky to do, and it took 3 tries before it came out to my satisfaction. The red stripe matches the red stripe on the stinger.
The combination of red and carbon fiber comes close to the stinger on the Nowicki concept 7 Vette featured in Corvette magazine over a year ago.
