Not sure about an app, but an Android Auto Icon should be there.

Have 2014 C7 & Android mobile. No problem pairing the two. Read your Informat folder that came with your C7 as to how to pair the two. Good luck.

If you're asking about Android Auto, check out these threads:
You need to be more explicit. When you say "You can use an iPhone" what exactly do you mean? If you mean make and answer calls or play media off your phone - all cell phones that support Bluetooth will work (for example, Blackberries and Windows phones will also work as would Ubuntu phones even!). And even those without Bluetooth could use the Aux input I bet.
If you mean will my phone connect to the MyLink system and say allow me to use my cell phone's maps navigation system on the larger screen then you are talking about CarPlay (with the iPhone) or Android Auto with Android phones (other cell phones are out of luck AFAICT). At this time only CarPlay works and only on 2016 and later because you need the updated hardware.
Android Auto is here now as a software update (as of 3/2) however GM F-ed it up yet again requiring that you receive a "certificate" that makes you eligible to get the software update. Why they did that stupid move is beyond me. And, of course, they told absolutely nobody about it until like yesterday. Bone head move GM - bone head!
I use my HTC Android to play my Pandora music automatically over the sound system. I could do phone calls but don't. Soon I'll get the software update to use Android Auto, but I haven't looked much into the details of what to expect.
I'm picking up my new 2016 today. Should I assume that the dealer has done the android auto update?
I wouldn't assume anything. This update is only a few days old, and my experience with electronic updates the dealer doesn't do them unless there is a problem reported or the customer specifically asks.

Are we talking about issues "pairing" up your android phone? Bought my car last July and it took about 5 minutes for the salesman to pair up my Samsung. When I had the wifi trial, you read your emails on the stereo screen, had options for providing automatic responses to emails while you are driving, etc.

I have the stereo with the nav/pdr.
I think there is some confusion going on here, particularly among people who have a '14 or '15. yes, you can do Bluetooth pairing with Android (or pretty much anything else). This lets the Pandora app work with your phone as well as make and receive calls etc.
But this is not the same thing as Android Auto which provides a much higher level of integration. For that you have to have a 2016 and even then when the '16s came out, it wasn't working yet. I have not been following it to see when the update came out (or will come out) but someone above says its only days ago. So even people with a 2016 produced before it was enabled will probably need a firmware update.
Once again, this is different from just pairing the phone which any Corvette (and most any recently produced car) can do.
