Default DashControl Display Controller for C7

DashControl is now available for the Corvette C7, Base, Z51, and Z06 from www.dashlogic.com.

DashControl is the most advanced way of displaying vehicle data to date. There is nothing to install, no programing, no changes to your vehicle in any way. Simply plug in the DashControl device to your vehicles OBD-II port and DashControl turns your factory dashboard display into a fully customizable gauge canvas. See all of the data your vehicle has to offer on your Driver Information Center. DashControl doesn't stop there, you can also customize visual and audible alerts that you set to any condition for any vehicle value, fully customizable by you. Just in case your car doesn't have a sensor for a value you would like to watch, DashControl also has two auxiliary inputs so you can add up to two aftermarket sensors to be viewed on your DIC as well as be used for alerts. The DashControl alerts system is a very advanced tool, this is not your run of the mill type of simple alert that only watches one value. DashControl will take into account several conditions for one alert, all of those conditions fully customizable by you. DashControl also tests your performance, use DashControl to get your calculated HP & TQ, 0-60 time as well as your 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and standing 1 mile times recorded with a trap speed.

This is very interesting, do you have a video showing the different values that can be displayed and how they are selected/configured?

You can download the configuration guide, it will show you how the configuration software works http://www.palmerperformance.com/dow...tion_Guide.pdf

I will see if I can get a PID list for what is available on the C7 cars and post it up a little later.

The car we own is a Z51 none boosted, but I could show you pictures of it making negative boost if you would like? I could also show you how it will look in a solid number or add some decimal precision.

Looking at this document http://www.palmerperformance.com/dow...tion_Guide.pdf , it appears so.

We are hopeful that a software update will come out from GM to enable this. In fact in your user manual it says the HUD will show OnStar and Nav directions, but in fact it does not meaning the HUD does not accept any customization. The 2014+ K2XX truck/SUV on the other hand appears to have the exact same HUD and we absolutely can do DashControl on that HUD. When we contacted GM about this, they kind of acted surprised that it didn't work like the manual said which left us hopeful that a 'fix' could be a possibility?

Wowza, this would be nearly perfect if you could monitor more than 2 lines at a time!

If your vehicle has the navigation radio option, then the radio is directly connected to the HUD, and can show nav instructions. However, OnStar cannot. We will do more testing though. Thanks.

Would I be able to set up an alarm to go off at particular RPM to use as a shift alarm (manual trans car) and would it be loud enough to hear a full throttle when making a 1/4 mile pass. For instance, I would want the alarm to go off at 6300 rpm giving me time to shift before hitting the rev limiter.

This looks like a great way to show boost levels for those of us not running a gauge pillar pod. This looks very simple and easy to use. Consider me interested! Tax return present maybe?

Here is a video showing a few ways of laying out boost, how you want it to appear is whatever text you use to show it. For a couple of them I made boost into a calculated PID and just added "6" to the value so it would show a positive number on there since I don't have boost.

I made a quick video showing this. The alert is set at 4000rpms so I could still kind of hold the camera steady....
We found there is a setting in the radio to turn up the volume for the Chimes, so that increased the sound in our car a lot (ours was set on lowest volume)

That is great, I will see how loud I can set the chime's and decide what to do next. How high did you set the tone for the video, lowest? highest?

Alright - I'm sold! Too many things this thing can do that I really like! I wish the text could be modified to be a bit more user friendly but that is the only complaint I can see to make.

That was the highest, but camera sounds are not a real picture, for sure test them yourself.
