Yep, you'll find them everywhere. Trust me, I drive a stock '81. Some owners are just that, owners. They want to be seen with their 'Vette, their Harley, their _____, just fill in the blank. I get a kick out of driving my beater Corvette and my nothing special Harley, that's why I have them. Maybe one day I'll get around to buying the official Corvette/Harley/whatever D-Bag starter kit. It comes with monogrammed underwear, hat, lighter, keychain, shirt, jacket, and money clip of whatever it is that makes them special. Once I have that, I'll know that I've arrived.
Some of you may get a smile out of that, some may be offended. If the shoe fits....
Sounds like you are just like me. I've owned two H-D's and now own a Corvette. I'm not big on "uniforms" associated with any type of 'item'. All of the HD apparel I had, I got for free (HD dealers, in my experience, are pretty good about giving away stuff when you buy). But it all went to Wifey or the kids. I own no Corvette stuff, but I did get a free Chevy hat for wearing my Ford Racing hat to get my C7 worked on
I did join the local Harley Owners Group, and found that way, way too many of them were "that guy". Looked down on other brands, decked out head to toe in HD gear, etc. I went to one ride, then decided I'd be better off elsewhere.
It's a reason why I'm hesitant to look into the local Corvette groups, even though the SA at the dealership swears they're all a bunch of regular guys (after related my HD story to him when he first mentioned it).
I'd rather find a group of folks who just likes "cars", and can appreciate them individually, not just for reasons that makes them "better" than someone else.
That guy would also likely be quick to tell you how his choice of coupe/convertible, M7/A8, interior/exterior color, option package/model is so, so, so superior to your choice or anybody else's choice.
The type of person who would call a convertible owner/coupe owner a D-bag if they owned the opposite.
The need for validation of their choices. For some, it runs strong. For a few, it is nearly all consuming. LOL.

I just refuse to pay $30-$40 dollars for a t-shirt. At the dealer, a cycle battery runs over $200, Advance Auto has them for under $100. In the mid '60s, my dad would take me to Detroit Harley Davidson. They sold bikes, parts, and oil. If they had a shirt at all, it was black with white letters on the back and a pocket in the front. The parts guy was usually in the back working on a bike, along with the owner. It's just a bit different these days. But I have to admit, there marketing/merchandise plan has kept them in business.

Saw some people like that at a diner in Naples once. Biker gang of retired professionals. Every article of clothing and accessory had HD logos on it. All the bikes looked new.
