Let me start by saying the c7 corvette is an amazing car! However, I think I would enjoy it even more if it didn't have these 3 problems.
1. The parking brake button should light up. It works fine and it saves space. It could really use some type of glow on the actual button to alert the driver when it is engaged or not. When I am in a parking spot, I frequently will shut down the car and have to look REAL quick at the dash to see if I had engaged it earlier. If my A.D.D. were not so bad I would be able to just remember if I flicked the switch or not. But sometimes I stop the car and gather my things before I exit the vehicle.
2. Launch control should be easier to engage. I have watched the youtube video's, read the forums, everything. I have failed to use launch control about a half dozen times and never successfully used it. I'll admit, after I figure it out, I am sure it will be very easy to do over and over. But it shouldn't take me this long to figure it out the first time.
3. The third problem with my corvette is that I am not in it right now! I love my corvette

1. Just look at the dash before you turn off your vehicle and also gear-park your car. It's the same way I trained my brain to watch my garage door close completely before I leave somewhere
2. Use it a handful of times and it will become second nature
3. Ditto. It's sunny and high of 79 here in a Phoenix and I'm stuck in my gray cube. I will definitely be leaving the office early today to enjoy some targa top time
How are the seats, specifically the left leg bolster?
My wish is that cylinder deactivation could be a setting, on, off, auto. When I am in the city and going from light to light, stuck behind cars, I don't need 8 cylinders. I wish I could just click a button and switch to the 4 and leave it until I get back to more of an open road. Its a complete waste of power and gas going a block at at time and it shifting between 1-2 because I can't go faster. Too many cars in front.

OP - if you listen you can hear the brake engage...
Also, no need to release it... just drive off, it'll disengage....
Thanks, a check of the owners manual (p192) confirmed this for me, but on one occasion, on level ground, attempting to back out of my garage I failed to release the EPB and the car shut down. Gonna have to experiment with this.
You can set the parking brake after you've turned the car off. No need for quick looks at the dash. If you don't remember, set it again. The dash will even light up and tell you it's set.
Launch control is as easy as 1-2-3...
1) Set driving mode to Track and press the traction control button two times (one thousand one, one thousand two)
2) Put left foot on brake. HARD. Like you are making a panic stop.
3) Floor accelerator and hold.
Once you let go of the brake, do not lift on the accelerator, until you are ready to slow down or stop.
I have used it probably 15 times now, and it hasn't failed me once.

I thought I might not be stepping on the brake hard enough. The anti-roll back doesn't work unless you give it a good press too. Makes sense because the computers in the car are looking for inputs.

What if I forget to set it. Turn the car off. And then pull the button. Will the parking brake still engage?
If it does, that means anytime I am not sure, I can just pull it again.

Anti roll back? Do you have an M7 (should have asked that first)? Mine is an A8.
Different 1-2-3 for the manual transmission...
1) Set driving mode to Track and press the traction control button two times (one thousand one, one thousand two)
2) Put left foot on CLUTCH. Hold all the way down to the floor.
3) Floor accelerator and hold.
Once you are ready to set off, release the clutch QUICKLY (as fast as you can), and hold the accelerator down on the floor until you are ready to slow down or stop.

You don't have to dump the clutch. Actually you don't want to . Just release it like you are leaving briskly.
A lot of good help for launch control here. This is what I gave my wife for our 2016 automatic. Yes, you heard right. My wife.
Drive Mode Selector To Track mode
Press Drive Mode Button Twice with 2 seconds between presses.
Steering Wheel Straight
Car in Drive
Floor Brake
Floor Gas - It will rev high and then settle in.
Release brake quickly. she went!
