Track day yesterday. On an HPDE and engine quits and all electrics stop. Long story short. A rod thru the crankcase. Car is at dealer and should find out if covered by warranty on Monday. At a loss on how this could happen. Under 11,000 miles on my Z51 2015 Stingray.
Everything is in the car's computer history. Speed, RPM, G forces, everything. Honesty is the best policy. As my car is the Z51, it's approved for track use.

Good luck with GM - hope you get good news from the dealer.
If not, I'm looking at a new GM dry sump LT1 at about $11K plus installation, assuming they can use existing motor accessory electrics. Installation hours? Who knows? 20 hours labor mebe?
Whether I'm warrantied or not is going to play a big part in my enthusiasm for this car and on my contribution to the forums and assoc. reviews. For now, I have hope in GM stepping up.
I still have hope. Monday will tell. If GM steps up, I'll sing the praises of my C7 all over every forum possible, to include my track day buddies and instructors, as I get a lot of interest in my C7 in the cold pits between lapping and download sessions at the formal schools. I lot of potential buyers out there. I think this case will make or break those buyer's, instructors, and school inventory decisions.
So we'll see. Again, Monday hopefully for a GM decision.

Yah I'm not sure the Porsche would be an upgrade track animal.
The z51 is a track focused package and there are track settings in the dic and the manual references racing. I'd think you could pretty easily get a lawyer involved if they want to deny your claim. You should be good to go. Keep us posted!
Is you ECM modified?
We're there any changes to the engine?
Were you running drag radials?
If any of the above are true, your probably SOL. If not, I would omit it happening at the track. They may or may not honor the claim if they know you were doing a track day. They should cover this without mods.
