Decisions
If you are just a typical driver, base will serve you fine. If you are like many of us, and see red line on most drives, go for the Z51
The next buyer of my car can rest a sure that he's getting a vehicle that was taken care of with tender loving care, and I was saving it for them.
I just don't understand why my best friend and my little brother both say they will never ride with me again?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
- Don't want to guess how the previous owner broke it in or took care of it.
- Don't want to find out the real reason why they're selling with very low miles.
- Don't want the Z51 stuff -- if I go to a track, I'll use their car, not mine.
- Wanted a car that was exactly the way I wanted it, and couldn't find one used. (Also really was interested in a C6Z but the ones I liked are as expensive as a new C7 and have all the liabilities mentioned above).
So, all that said, I just ordered a new C7 base M7 3LT with NPP exhaust. I think it will be more than enough car for street driving. Current pricing from MacMulkin is pretty good.
Remember that the time for ordering a C7 is almost gone -- just two weeks left, I think -- though there are lots of cars on dealer lots. In fact, there's a pretty nice base model with Laguna Blue paint and grey salami interior M7, NPP, 2LT and a chrome wheel upgrade that a dealer offered here yesterday, if that color appeals to you: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ance-sale.html
Price seems a tad high, though. I'd be looking for at least 10% off MSRP.

I can see this on a dealer's add-on sticker right under nitrogen filled tires and etched security glass. lol
