Default First Corvette

First time Corvette owner.

The car is a 2014 base Stingray convertible, Lime Rock Green with Kalahari top and interior, 3LT, 7M, 4500 miles on the odo, late 2014 build date.

My wife and I picked up the car from Bob Hook Chevrolet in Louisville, KY on April 18, 2016. Thanks to Mike Higdon and Derek Calder at Bob Hook for an easy internet deal and a car which was exactly as advertised.

We live in Tucson, AZ so we drove the car home over the past week sampling fun stuff on Route 66. What a fabulous ride! Lots of thumbs up and compliments at gas stops.

HIGHS:
Stunning good looks
Docile around town
Plenty of poke when you want it
Glorious exhaust note
Wife loves it.

LOWS:
Wife wants to drive it.
CAGS
Wonky nav system
Memory seats with their own agenda
Panel displays smarter than I am.

Overall a fantastic car and more driving fun than I've had in years.

Thanks to CF members for all the posts which helped me get up to speed on the C7.

I've always liked that color combo and almost ordered my '14 (coupe) in LRG/Kalahari. Just couldn't pull the trigger and went with Torch Red.

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the Corvette Team!

There's lots of information on here regarding taming the memory seats. Also, there is a low cost, easily installed modification that will eliminate the CAGS feature. Search on "CAGS DEFEAT".

Beautiful color combination! Glad you're liking that C7.
(I too bought a 2014 this year, got to love the savings.)

CONGRATS

I nearly bought a base Green convertible. Brownstone with a black top. But we bought a coupe for the extra room.

Bought it in October and did a similar trek from Iowa to Seattle making a vacation of it as well. Badlands, Mt Rushmore, Devils tower, Custers etc.
