Ok, I'm in the market for some splash guards for my DSOM Coupe. She's new, and she doesn't want mud and tar tossed up on her sides (or gravel...). I had some black splash guards on my Atomic Orange C6 but was wondering if the same low key small splash guards are a good idea on the new C7? I suspect you can get splash guards that match the color of the car but how would that look? If you have splash guards on your C7, I'd be curious to see photos to see how they look. Then I'll decide what looks and feels right for my C7. Thanks in advance!!!
GM sells slightly larger OEM spalsh guards in the same black plastic finish as what comes with the car. They are available stock or painted from many of the forum vendors. I put on on body color painted (in Liquid Red). There is lots of discussions on this forum about the level of additional coverage/protection they afford, and whether going with body colored painted or OEM black looks/blends better.
FWIW, I'm glad I put them on (and like the body color painted version) but wish they were somewhat larger...

I noticed on all of the used Base models, when I went shopping for Vette C7 last year, that there was no stone chips behind the front and rear wheels. The only chips I saw were in the front of the rear wheels where that plastic material was applied by the factory. And those chips appeared to be only in the plastic itself. These cars all had about 10 to 20 K on them. Is there something to this in regard to body style difference between a Z51 and a base model? I know I have a base 2016 and there are absolutely no stone chips at all in those areas except where the plastic is in the front of the rear wheel area. I have almost 9K on the car and have been over some very questionable highways. Thanks for any input on this. It may help the OP. Also they had not been repainted.

I order some "red one" a few weeks ago from a forum vendor, and it takes several weeks before you will get them. I don't understand why it take that long for plan old red, but don't have them and will not have them for my road trip this week!!! Should have bought the factory ones and painted them myself. You may also want to get the side skirts, they will help with rock chips.
I have tried the GM guards and the ACS guards, they are not wide enough to cover the full width of the tire and they should be longer.
If you want to save some money buy the #4322 guards from O'Reilly, they cover more of the tire and are longer plus there only $13.00.
Here are some pictures, they attach with 3 screws, you have to remove the existing moulding.
I cut some width off the inner part of the flap but it's up to you how much you want to cut.

Goes below side skirts
Covers the whole width of the tire
Use 3 existing screw holes
These are on a ZO6, maybe it's not a problem with the Stingray

I was hoping the GM splash guards would do as you wish. In fact after 2 1/2 years can say the rears do. However it took only a few weeks to see the front ones did not. Suggest you look at where GM put that heavy plastic and you'll see the problem area, from the middle of the doors back up the side of the rear wheel well!
I was still getting pebble marks being thrown up from the sticky tires. Bought side skirts. Great solution and I was able to remove the marked up and discolored GM heavy plastic. Rocker panels still look new.
