I have these also. Like that they are barely noticeable, and they must be better than nothing. Easy to install. I went to Harbor, bought a cheap set of trim tools, and have the new ones on in ten minutes.

And, I bought them from Gene. They have the front, and back at the best price I found. Thanks Gene.

I was still getting pebble marks being thrown up from the sticky tires. Bought side skirts. Great solution and I was able to remove the marked up and discolored GM heavy plastic. Rocker panels still look new.
So it sounds like maybe a combination of the splash guards and the rocker panel is in order, eh? Since my couple is DSOM, perhaps the orange or the black rocker panels are an option. Admittedly, I've never seen the panels that match the color of the car - all have been black. Do you recall what those things cost? Also, would it look strange to have the rocker panels and NOT have the piece that is in the front of the car (ground effect looking 'thingy')?

thanks in advance!

Yes. The base model has harder tires than the Z51 model, therefore stones do not stick to the non-Z51 tires as much. The Z51 tires are softer and stickier, more stones stick to them and get slung onto the body panels when driven.

Yep, afraid you'll need side skirts for the C7. After having "dings" on my '88 and '93 Vette behind the rear wheels when I ordered my '08 C6, before it arrived I bought contoured "splash guards" painted the color of the car. They integrated pretty well with the C6 but none I have seen do that with the C7. It fact with the way the rocker panels are tucked in, don't believe any reasonable width would work. Look for "side skirts" by searching the forum or google Stingray "side skirts" (not rocker panels!)

The "piece in the front" is called a splitter. Same concept as used in NASCAR etc. I got my side skirts to match my OEM Carbon Fiber roof and they were functional. Since I don't track the car, or go 125 mph very often the splitter is purely cosmetic. Didn't think I needed it- but finally added a carbon fiber splitter. Then that chrome bar in the grill looked out of place so added a real carbon fiber cover for it. With all that carbon fiber also added a carbon fiber hood vent! Those last 3 items are only for looks!

And why is that?
The paint is on the backside of the guards, not the inside where the road debris hits.
Stick to coffee beans.
