Does anyone know if the factory completes all ordered 2016's before the production of the 17's begins. Or will the last of the 16's mix into the 17 production year.
Just curious I ordered a 2016 a few weeks back, the wait is killer. I know its not long before the 2017's roll.
I do keep up on the above "sticky" section on customer service tracking it seems they only give info once a week or so. It is a service though.

Your dealer should be able to give you the most up to date status changes to your order. If your order has been accepted and your dealer has allocations, the target production week should be available shortly after.

You can check your order status on Chevy chat too found at Chevy.com. They won't be as up to date as your dealer, but it's more current than using the customer service thread.
Once the 2017s start down the line no more 2016s will be produced. Model years are not mixed. There were so many 2014 orders that the model year run was extended a month or two.
