Default Squeaky interior?

Anybody else have a squeaky interior? My dash rattles like crazy around the Start button, my passenger seats rattles and squeaks like nobody's business, the driver side window doesn't seal properly either. Like dang it I'd expect this in my Hyundai. Not a 55k+ car.

The passenger seat one may be the seat belt buckle. The dash one I had when the car was brand new but has since stopped after 5k miles. On a whole my cabin is pretty quiet.

The dash squeak might be the center A/C vent, see if you can't adjust it. As mentioned the passenger seat noise is probably the seat belt. Pull the seat belt just inside the passenger seat side bolster. I had the seat belt noise on the passenger side and pulled the seat belt just inside the bolster, it stays there and no noise.

My interior is pretty quite, have a bit of rattle from the driver's side visor...which is being replaced by warranty next week.

I think using Hyundai as your poor quality believes might be an inaccuracy. I have a 2015 Genesis Sedan Tech and its a dream and full of high tech features. I also have a 2015 Santa Fe which is a fine utility vehicle. Maybe use a Russian Lada or Chinese Shevy. But, sorry to hear your problems, I am sure the dealership will rectify these problems. My 2014 Vert has been a trouble free dream and I am sure your will be better after the repairs are complete.

Well I should've specified, Genesis Coupe. I've been in Sedans and they are built significantly better. My coupe rattled a bunch and even the welds in the passenger side failed and are notorious for it.

It's at the dealership now so we'll see what they say. I also cracked my air bag cover in the steering wheel when some douche cut me off in his lifted truck and made me slam on my brakes hard, honking and cracking the thing. I'm sure that's a one off but just my luck lol

I will check the seatbelt when it goes back to see if it's that. It's not the AC. I already tried tapping the AC and everywhere else to see what vibrated and it was only in the area around the button.

This will sound crazy, but make sure your sun visors are in their holders/clips. If they aren't, they post at the end will rattle against the holder/clip and it'll sound just like it's coming from the dash.

I had a passenger use the passenger side sun visor and he didn't clip it back and going over bumps it rattled and I kid you not, sounded like it was the dash. I finally figured it out, popped it in place - back to normal.

I agree with the passenger seat belt issue and the unseated visor.

Also check the removable top front bayonet fittings.

I also had trouble with the interior over-center locking handle at the rear of the top, and had to insert a piece of rubber washer around the shaft to keep a snug fit.

Check the weatherstripping on the exterior rear corners of the top. Its easy to have it stick out instead of seating properly when reinstalling the top, causing a poor seal.

I've had a squeak come and go in the instrument cluster-to-dash top mating area.

I find my Classic Rock playlist takes my mind off any problem noises and makes them much harder to hear in the first place.

There is a world of difference between the interiors of the Genesis coupe and sedan. The coupe's interior is really a load of cheap hard plastics...The coupe is supposed to compete with the Mustang, but even with too much hard plastic in the 'stang, it blows away the GC.

2014 with 20K on the clock. I just started noticing a slight rattling coming from the passenger side dash I think. Hard to pinpoint.

2 years old on Sunday and quiet as an empty church. No squeaks and no rattles. Tight as a drum! (The tires do sing a bit on grooved concrete roads.)

This is quite a con in my dilemma of either a new C7 or used 991 911 but as I can see this is not common and only a rare occurance?

My '14 had a new rattle show up the other day. It was also the center vent.....thank goodness it wasn't inside the dash.

Unless you are talking C4S or above, a 911 is a bit of a joke. Said another way, everything under the C4S, you are just paying for the badge.

Hi Bill B 1,

We’re sorry to learn of this rattling you’ve been experiencing in your Corvette. You mentioned it is only a slight rattle, but if you would like to have it looked at by your dealer we would be happy to assist in facilitating a service appointment. Please send us a private message if you are interested.

Thank you,

Why? A C2S is pretty good.

Agreed. Although a 991 C2S in good condition without a ton of miles is going to be ~$90k. For that money you should be comparing it to a Z06. I did. There is no comparison. I ordered the Z06.
