I don't have an exact answer to your question, but I can tell you that the cue ball has a very solid feel. It's ceramic, not plastic. Also, it's never hot and never cold. I love it.

Burning Brakes
I am selling my RPI shift ****. Too big for my hand ... 2" ball would be better. Black with C7 wings and Corvette logo on each side. Just paid $90 for it ...

I looked around for my order, but couldn't find it. It was 2 years ago! I use several good vendors, including Southern Car Parts and RPI.
Various vendors' websites says the cue ball shift ****, which looks just like mine, is a "unique composite material", whatever that means. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I do recommend the cue ball style shift **** for a great look and feel. Mine is black, matching my Vette's interior, with a white shift pattern.
Some folks reported difficulty installing it. I had my dealer install it so I didn't worry about that.
