First and foremost it is a CORVETTE. The C5 Vette was the first of the SUPER VETTES which the C6 and C7 followed. Apparently, some of you have never been to a car show and seen what some Corvette owners have done to THEIR cars. As far as the car that the OP posted....I think if the owner likes it...THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.

Sure if the guy has the money go ahead. I feel strongly that the C5 look should be preserved, it maybe enhanced. The round tail lights look is already iconic, seriously and unequivocally cool. C7 rear end is cool as well, a defining feature of the latest stingray.
