What the heck is wrong with a C5? I daily my C7 and absolutely appreciate the awesome styling of a good C5 (once lowered of course).
That C5.7 thing just ain't for me haha!
:agree:
I've never been a fan of Frankenvettes that mix generations. The C5 was a great Corvette and moved the brand forward into the world market where the C7 now (deservingly) enjoys world-class recognition.
Once you add the cost for the kit and then add in the added depreciation cost of killing off the VIN#, these kind of "upgrades" make no sense to me.
For that combined cost, just buy a base C7 Stingray.
C5 was a great generation. Owned two. On my list of favorite Corvettes owned, my '02 light pewter metallic vert ranks above my 2006 C6 vert. The '02 was a wonderful car.
From: In a parallel universe. Currently own 2014 Stingray Coupe.

The C5 has great styling just the way it came from the factory and while there are some good aftermarket body panels that make it even better, putting a C7 rear end on it just doesn't do it for me.
