My car was 4B00 meaning it was 'bayed' awaiting rail shipment.

(This was in 2014 for my 2015 C7 A8, it sat in New Boston, MI for 6 weeks awaiting rail shipment to Selkirk, NY, hopefully yours will not sit long, where is it going to?)
Since your car has been produced, have you gotten its birth date and VIN# from your dealer? If not, you can PM Customer Service here and they can look it up for you.

It means that the car is awaiting shipment to its next destination. Note that a given car can go from a 4-digit number to 4B00 several times as it makes its way from the plant to your dealership.
