Eh the PDR isn't something I'd use anyway so that's not a big deal. Cool little tool, but I never track my cars and never go to fancy restaurants needing to spy on Valet's lol
I have a 16 and the pdr and use it all the time and also don't track my car yet. There was one post here where the owner was stopped in error and the leo was shown the video and he was not given the ticket.
The most value does come from using it on the track. An amazing tool if you do any track. Found that out at Fellows owners school.

Yea that's true. But I don't think that small percentage alone would justify me needing to spend thousands extra when I could just really use my GoPro and have it do the same thing if I needed to.
mShak2,
FYI, I went with a '14, coupe, 2LT, Z51, M7, Mag ride, nav and NPP, certified used purchased Jan 2016 from Criswell, instead of a 2016 1LT, base M7 with NPP. Cost of both was about the same.
There are no "bugs" in the 2014, GM got it right from the get go. Yes there are upgrades each year and only you can determine if these are must haves for you or not. If not, buying a 14 instead of new makes a lot of sense for those of us whose budget fall just a little short of where we want to be in a 2016.
A couple of things to consider:
1. There is one segment that tends to get overlooked, warranty. If the 14 you're looking at isn't certified, you need to determine the cost of an extended warranty and factor that into the price. Also, I would not buy a 2014 that has so much mileage, the bumper to bumper is void. Please take the warranty factor into account.
2. Buying used offers you information a new car doesn't have, a history and YOU can obtain it. Be sure to ask for the warranty repair record history before buying any 2014. If it's problematic, you'll see it in the history. If it's been a reliable car, that will show up too, and now you can buy it knowing that the car is broken in and is reliable. Any good GM dealer will be more than happy to show you that report and it's just as important as a Carfax/Autocheck report.
Hope this helps.

of course the go pro is cheaper and its good we have options.
Again if you have had a pdr there are numerous parameters that the go pro does not have. If you just want a camera its all good.
You have to buy the pdr to get the nav but its both for one price.
Frankly after really beginning to learn the nav system its very intuitive but has a fairly big learning curve. for example I can go to the onstar app on my iphone and set a trip up and it loads into the nav system.
There is a video in the corvette museum most recent post that has a nav presentation
So as I continue my obsessive research, I have obviously seen prices and features of all the C7 models. I can find the package and features I want for good prices for 2014 models, and am struggling finding everything I want in 2015's or used 16's. Are the upgrades in '15 and '16 worth settling a couple features such as 2LT instead of 3LT, etc? 14's will also be easier to grab in the next couple months because leases will be returned, but I keep reading about the updated software for the MyLink/Nav and not as many issues regarding screen flicker and things līke that. So if anyone has any info or opinions regarding this, please chime in! Thanks!
And I am currently favoring either Criswell Chevy, MacMulkin Chevy or Bachman Chevy since I'm in California and the prices here are MUCH higher.
Front cameras are a must for me! Never hitting a curb again
I purchased a 14 3lt in March after getting a walk up offer I couldn't refuseon My 11 GS.
13k on the car and perfect.....I would go for a 14 again.
5ht Vette and gawd what an car..!

Precisely why it's so important to me as a must have.
