I don't remember what levels he said. This shop in Tampa does most of the higher end vehicles in the area. I told him to use his best judgment and put what he would on his car.
Turned out great.
Wow! I'm from the Tampa area. Is it auto guard and paint or mcor?
If you look at most tint on cars (including mine), it is not within the legal limits. Luckily, after 18 years of cars and driving, I never had an issue with a ticket - knock on wood. Perf N Restore, I am glad I do not live in an area where I could walk out of a building and have a ticket placed on my car. I guess living in North Carolina has some advantages.
Just be aware that different states have different laws re what you can tint and how much. In California, one may not tint the windshield and side windows must transmit at least 70% of light.
need to have windshield tint strip trim down like 1/4 inch, it's blocking my built in cam 3/4 of the way. they wont just cut it over the glass right? maybve got some technique that will avoid cut marks on the windshield?

If the inside top of the windshield is tinted there is no reason why any tint shop can't cut away an opening for the camera. They can do it without any cut marks. Tint shops are specialists at what they install.

awesome thanks a lot for the helpful reply!
I am thinking either just cut the bottom of the strip 1/4 inch or so, or trim a semi circle in front of the PDR. will see what they think.
