When the Oil Life Monitor tells you to.

How high is up? How long is a piece of string. Ask five people, get six answers. Most folks probably change oil too often and I am probably one. Dry sump cars get an oil change at 500 miles. I change my oil at 5,000 mile intervals after that because it is easy to keep up with.

Based on this and the other questions you just posted I'd also suggest at least perusing the Owner's Manual that came with the car.

I don't trust the sticking manuals

Well, the OM has this particular question answered in the Vehicle Care section. P. 10-16 in the '14 OM, but may be a different page number in other MYs.

The manual has all the answers for the questions that I have needed to look for. Sometimes a bit obscure but there.
It is a lot easier to just ask on the forum and glean info from others knowledge. Nice to know that the forum can answer darn near anything you ask about a C7... or who to vote for...
It's better than Google!

On both my C6 cars I would follow the recommended oil life message and when it got to 50% its time to get a service.
I actually go to 50% on all my vehicles. Oil is the blood of an engine and its not that expensive.
