Default Removing full length stripes

We found a C-7 that is just the ticket except for the full length stripes. The car is a new untitled convertible in dealer inventory. Can or will the dealer remove stripes with no paint damage?

I wondered about that. There is a black C7 with wide orange stripes at a local dealer that has sat there for almost a year. It does look hideous. It will take a special kind of person to buy that thing as it sits. They have even discounted it and it's still there. I'm guessing if the stripes were gone, it would sell much more easily as a black/black.

Honestly even if the paint was damaged it'd just be in clear and you could wet sand and reshoot the clear for a low amount - probably low enough that you could haggle the price of the car.

I'd rather make it a condition of sale, however, so you have less risk of it going wrong.

You don't need heat? Or 3M adhesive remover?

I would never peel a stripe without using heat and or GooGone or 3M adhesive remover ..,heat it up , go slow and follow with the remover to clean it up.

Leave in sun .. them peel off .. thats what I did ... I changed my emblems to black so that is why the front nose is missing the emblem. Keep in mind you are throwing $1K in the garbage can unless dealer eats it.

Definitely looks better. You should consider getting rid of the chrome braces.

I had A professional put silver stripes on my black C7.If I was to remove them I would take it back to the professional. It's small money.I'm extra careful with high ticket items.

It's just a vinyl decal that can be easily removed like any vinyl sticker. Lift with your fingernail at a corner and peel. Nothing special needed but maybe a little heat from the sun.

If cold, it could break off in pieces, just like a sticker would...

I have not seen any factory combo stripe that looks good on the C7. There is a guy in here that painted his own style, and look great.

When I bought the aftermarket stinger i was terrified it would look fugly, but it does look cool on the silver, and the mate black made the whole thing look even better.

Default Stripes

Call Rapid Tac ** Tel. 800.350.7751 for remover

I then used 3M adhesive remover on remaining glue.

Lots of dislike for stripes, but for most of the stripe kits I think they look good on the C7.
