Default HELP removing visor warning label!!

I'm really struggling removing 1 of the warning labels on the driver side visor.
I have the suede and it looks MUCH cleaner without the label.
The one on the passenger side came off so easily, with no heat gun or anything needed. Just peeled right off with a little work.

The driver side visor however, has been a PITA to remove and I STILL haven't been able to remove it!! Also it has slightly damaged the upper part (kinda hard to tell by the pictures) but it is almost impossible to get this removed..

Any help or advice would be much much much appreciated, as I think I have made it worse than just leaving the ugly sticker there.

I'd recommend 3M Adhasive Removal. You can spray it on a rag and dab it on label. "Generally" it will not cause discoloration, but I would first try it on a less noticeable area. It's available a most box stores and automotive centers, i.e., Autozone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.

Hmm, I think you're probably screwed as far as salvaging it to looking like the other one. The visors aren't hard to remove, I'd probably remove it, then try heat and persistence in getting it off. You could try some goo gone, I think at this point it's not going to hurt it any worse. I think the covering will probably sag from being worked so much though.

Here's the part without homelink even though it's pictured (I think). You should contact them before you buy a replacement if you do. Otherwise, it stays flipped up most of the time anyway, ymmv if that bothers you or not leaving it. You could always cover it with another sticker, there are a few companies that sell corvette themed visor stickers.

If you can't get it off , take it to an automobile upholstery shop and they can recover the side with the sticker. I had that done on mine.

Removes left over glue and softens the glue holding the label on. I have used it for years on all types of adhesives. Most recently used to remove my visor stickers.

My solution to the label problem was to stop fixating on it, leave them alone and do nothing. Worked out great and took no effort. :-) but it looks like you are committed at this point.

Hmm, suggest considering what you have done your best choice is to do what many have posted, cover the area with self adhesive vinyl!

I thought some folks were selling precut pieces. To cover a C7 car model roof I purchased carbon fiber look vinyl. Have seen posts where folks used that, it comes in 8 1/2 X 11 sheets.

It's illegal to remove these labels! Similar to mattresses and furniture cushions! Watch out for the label police!🚨🚔

FYI

the warning that it is unlawful to remove the tags from a mattress or pillow is not for the end purchaser. It is for new pillow and mattress sellers only. It's only against the law to remove the tag prior to the sale and delivery of a pillow or mattress to the final consumer.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand; my passenger side came off easily in two or three pieces, but my driver's side shredded into hundreds.

I just used tweezers and a lot of time and patience. They came off eventually, and did not require any goo gone or equivalent.

I got mind off 1-2-3 with a heat gun and then got rid of the glue with Goo Gone!

Let me help you. Sit in the drivers seat and put a towel on your lap. On the highest edge use a q tip to put some goo gone on it. Let it sit for just a few seconds and then slowly peel just a little bit along the edge where the goo gone has penetrated. Don't tear it off just run your q tip along the inside of the edge you just made. More will peel back. Keep repeating till it's all off and wipe the area with a clean towel and Goo Gone (Goof off works too). Mine are suede and it worked great.

When your new one comes in, try heating it up with a heat gun or blow dryer. The glue may not have set too well, and it may come off clean. The key words here are may.

Thanks for all the help my friends! I got the label off but my visor is now the ugliest thing ever to look at since the suede has been removed along with the label.... Ugh.. Going to place a order on a new visor from the dealer hopefully tomorrow.

Just take it to an auto upholstery shop and have them cover the side with the sticker. May be cheaper than a new one.
