I just bought a Shark Grey coupe and want to add the splash guards. I know there are GM versions but others. too. I have seen the RPI models which are either natural black or painted to match the body. I sort of think that the painted ones (which are a little wider, too) would be better. Who has seen them?

The search feature will bring up numerous posts on this subject.
That said, my 2016 Stingray Z51 sports the OEM rear mud guards which are sufficient. However, the ACS Composite front mud guards have a wider surface area and match the OEM rear's. Plus, I installed G3 Carbon side skirts and front splitter painted carbon flash metallic.
I have a shark grey also. I installed the GM splash guards and I really like them. I know someone else who has the wider painted RPI type and I prefer the GM unpainted. The RPI style are wider than I cared for. The GM ones are more subtle and add a nice touch. To each his own.

Agree. The RPI ones are clunky in appearance compared to the GM ones, and provide minimally more protection. I'd recommend the GM ones, easy to install and look factory, because they "almost" are.
I purchased the painted set from RPI last fall. They might have changed suppliers because mine are the same size as the OEM set. They may appear wider because they are painted.

Whatever, but smart to add something.
I believe it's the ACS ones that are bigger than the GM ones, not RPI. You are correct that the RPI ones are just GM ones that have been painted.
Have the GM guards on my Z06, they are not enough to keep the road rash from peppering the area in front of the rear tires.
Going to try the apsis wider splash guards and hopefully that will prevent it from getting worse.
OEM GM Splash Guards painted to match body color. Paint was DIY project and so easy to complete. I highly suggest these splash guards for any and all C7 vehicles.
I got these from RPI they do work well. The delivery was ~ 5 weeks from order date however. I took one road trip before and after with them and the skirts. The skirts really help and I believe these also help.

These are the same as the OEM GM Splash Guards only RPI jacks up the price and costs much more when having RPI send them pre-painted.
Suggest to order your own unpainted and if you want them painted, consider a DIY paint project. There is such a small area to paint, the cost of materials is minimal.
You did a very nice DIY job on yours. I sure would have, also had I know it was going to take that long to get them. It cost ~ 2 X's for them to paint them.

I just installed the factory guards on our '15 Z51 vert. Purchased from TrunkMonkey and installed with no tools by hand.
