Thanks for the info, I will keep it in mind if it happens again.
My 2014 went black 8 months after purchasing the car (8/14), at Corvettes of Carlisle in 14 I was told by one of the Chevy Engineers that the whole Unit should be replaced, the dealership would only do a software update, the screen has been fine since. At the 2016 corvettes of Carlisle, Chevy had a engineer doing a infotainment discussion, he said that the 14's had a short wiring harness and on some cars there were issues after the screen was closed and opened. That would cause the harness to short out, the repair is to lengthen the harness, the issue within lengthen (he said is that the tech needs to know that the wire color was changed on the 15's and 16's).
