I messed with the 0-60 timer a bit tonight, pretty fun, but I think I'm done!! Don't want to break anything! (the Ron Fellow's video has me spooked)
Temp 82, RH 54%, Elevation 800ish, no launch control, TC on, windows down, air on..
1st run. Revved to approx 3000 rpm, pretty much wheel spin, time 5.1
2nd run 2200 rpm, barely any wheel spin, short shifted in to 2nd, time 4.6
3rd run 2200 rpm, barely any wheel spin, great shift, time 4.4
I'm happy w/ my last run, so I'm done playing for now.

As you should be.
The timer is one of those cute little pieces of addictive technology designed with the sole purpose of trying to get you to beat the ever living chit out of your new car. IMO
Come on, try it again, you know you can do better.
(Evil laugh) HaHaHa.......
Was just "playing" with my 0-60 timer for only the 2nd time the other night. --- '15 Stingray 3LT... A8... No Prep... Just stepped on it from a dead stop on a quiet side street... and this happened...
If you want a better 0-60 time use the PDR, for some reason the 2 are not the same and the PDR shows quicker times (in my experience). My best was a 4.1 on the dash 0-60, it's always hot and humid, just barely above sea level. I have never done one without T/C, might give it another shot Just before I go in for new tires. L/C sucks IMO.
Do not forget about the no lift shift feature with the M7.
never bothered with that...are all equipped or just newer ones? I have a '15 and I can hit pretty good times lifting on the 1-2 shift (e.g. 4.0-4.1 range)

I wish I could get my leg to adapt, just can't retrain the damn thing.

I love the 0-60 timer. The only thing I wish I could change is how it works with Launch Control. With launch control you have your foot on the brake, then slam the accelerator down, wait for the revs, then let your foot of the brake and launch into warp speed! The problem is, when you slam the accelerator to get the revs up, the timer starts. So you can't get a 0-60 in launch control.

Just hit the reset button again, it will work, I've done it
Tried it once and got 4.2 on my 1st try.
Also tried it 0-60 with TC ON, 4.2 also (one try only) even with a little wheelspin.
This was with my 2016 A8.
My 2014 with A6 was more often 4.4-4.6, it did hit 4.2 once or twice after a bunch of tries.
I used my PDR for a 0 to 1/4 mile run, its pretty cool. On a stock 2015 Z51 A8 I got a 4.3 (0-60), 9.1 (0-100), and a 12.4 1/4 mile. I will have to look at it again to see what MPH I hit the 1/4 mile at. Now have a 2016 Z51 A8 and its a bit slower than my other one. About .5 difference on all areas. I guess there are strong and weak cars coming out of the plant.
Never used it, nice toy but wonder how accurate it really is. I prefer to run it at the drags and see what it really does 60', 1/8th & 1/4. I usually take it easy on the streets, if I want to go fast / quick I do it at the strip.
