The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
But, progress happens, I imagine the C8 will not offer a manual. Ferrari hasn't offered a 3 pedal car since 2010, McLaren has not offered a manual since the F1(!), and Lamborghini is all automatics now. Just a matter of time for Corvette.

PS. And when it happens (no manuals), this forum will BLOW UP with people bitching about it. There's several threads a week on FerrariChat about lack of manual availability, sadly, when all the Ferrari guys HAD a choice, they bought automatics (F1) over 90% of the time.
People buy autos in Corvettes 80% of the time...hard to justify keeping it, and clicking a paddle just isn't the same (to me, at least).
And yes, my C7 is a MANUAL (as were my previous 4 Corvettes)

7 SPD PERF MANUAL (MEL)
gearing?

When was the last time you drove in Los Angles, Boston, Washington, New York, Chicago, Houston or Atlanta?
Who needs the clutch pedal in traffic?
Lastly, considering the average age of the Corvette owner, we are way past shifting!
Besides, last time I ran the 1/4 mile at Epping, all those with 7 speed manuals stayed in the bleachers so as not to embarrass themselves!

Why is that? Autos are both faster and much easier to drive. A lot of people use their Corvettes are DD's and do not want the hassle of dealing with a manual in stop and go traffic. Makes perfect sense.

I know what you're saying.
I agree with Bell though, this a car lovers car, every vette owner I've met loves cars, and this seems different from BMW where many of those owners are brand name lovers first and a distant car lover second. Yet we still go with a torque converter over a clutch.
It doesn't stop there though. The m7 has zero issues with throttle response and puts the driver totally in charge of AFM. Never heard of it over heating or failing. Yet the m7 is still rare.
I'm honestly very surprised myself.
