I don't know which is the greatest Vette ever. IMO they're all pretty good. I'm having some difficulty getting on board with the GS as something truly special and unique, enough for me to be something special enough to pull the trigger. I was looking at one at a car show when I overheard someone mention that it was a sheep in wolf's clothing. That comment may be demonstrative of what is causing the hesitant attitude on my part.

I do know that if I'm already at $95K, then another $14K to have it all is a bargain.

To better understand what I said read ANY magazine review.

Truth is I know what I want and what I like. Im very happy with that understanding, as many don't have a clue. Years ago I sold suits for a living...just watch the average guy pick a suit, let alone a tie.

I hope all here are just as happy with their own choices.

For me I have to have the Z07 package. I love a great handling and braking car. I don't want or need the 1LT or 2LT packages. Low $70's with discount.

So your comment is based on a magazine review, ok. I have no issue at all with the GS, but the magazine based comment is off base.

The newest is always the greatest. That's what the Stingray was called the 1st year, then the Z06, and now the GS. Next "best Vette ever" will be the ZR1, or Zora, or the C8 "base" version.

No. I agree with them and it's the simplest way to explain it without having to list it all myself.

How long have you been driving an LT4 equipped car? If your concern is the car has too much power and it might get away from you, then you certainly should go with the LT1.

Obviously you're not comprehending my post. No I have not driven the LT4...I don't need it. If you do, go for it.

I understand your post completely. You didn't want to spend more for the extra 190 HP and TQ and that is fine. The balanced comment is irrelevant unless you plan to spend a considerable amount of time running your new car all out around a road course and you can't control the extra power.

You're clueless, and I'm out.

No. I am not and attacking me with a magazine in hand isn't the way to discuss the topic at hand. When was the last time you drove a street car and thought it would be better with less power? I can't recall the last time I drove or rode anything and wished for less power and torque. On the other hand, I've driven plenty of vehicles and wished for more power. I will not dispute that a GS is a great car and there is a market for it. I question it being the best Corvette ever. The balanced comment is essentially someone's way of saying the more expensive car has too much power.

Really no argument here. The best new Vette you can buy right now is the Z. And it's the best Bang-for-your-buck car right now.
