Since the C5 having 4 exaust tips just looks like it doesnt fit the lines of the car, like trying too hard.
Brings to mind the late 70s T/A and custom vans cant get it out of my head. Not pipe organ bad but you get the picture.
Some dual "rectangular like" non chrome tips would look more tasteful;perhaps dark grey powercoat, black or carbon?? Dont know whats out there in aftermarket as I dont have one just a passing thought. Or maybe they are just too close together at first glance looks like too many
I don't think they flow with the rest of the body. Looks kind of lazy like they just ran out of money/time to care. There is a guy on here with a red C7 with custom tips that flow really well.
From: Hamilton Square NJ, Ocean City N. J. Key Biscayne Fla.
IMO, the round tips go well with the rear of the C6. But, the round tips on the C7 do not go with the lines of the rear. They look like an after thought. They should have gone with the dual, angular tips.

In fact, I think the whole rear-end looks like they ran out of time/money and half-assed it. Too much unbroken plastic in the rear-end with a lot of gaping holes. It's a crying shame that a $70k+ car (Z51 3LT) doesn't come with a decent rear diffuser. The lack of a filler plate for the exhaust area is also a shame.
I attempted to fix both on my car - very happy with the ACS diffuser fins, but so-so on the exhaust filler plate.

You know, there's no way in hell for GM to make everyone happy, no matter what they produce. IMHO they came up with a great looking exhaust. I like the 4 tips. I brought the NPP exhaust because they put 4 huge tips on it, then was delighted with the sound they produced. My C4 also has 4 exhaust tips, though its 2 on each side. I think they look great too. If you're not happy with your exhaust system then change it. Complaining isn't going to make you happy.
Once, I saw two little boys looking over my C7, front to back with total interest in the details. When they went around the back the younger one pointed to the pipes and said, in a very enthusiastic voice, "Look, its got 4 engines". One of my favorite stories.

You know, it's all a matter of what your reference points are, and what you've owned in the past. I happen to think that the C7s don't sound very good at all. They are either just plain loud (sport / track mode in NPP) or awfully quiet with the dry sump pump and AFM making all kinds of weird cabin noises. There is no linear sound profile that's both muscular and classy at the same time. I love nearly everything about the C7 except for the sound engineering.
