The car does not come with an SD card from GM. I understand the Museum has provided a small SD card as part of the delivery. I have no idea if they are still doing it. Maybe someone with a recent delivery will chime in. If not you can contact the museum for the current policy.
Personally, I would grab a larger one from Amazon and take it with me. Remember, anything larger than 32 Gb will require a third party application to format it to FAT32 under Windows.

Just a note: A 256Gb card *does* work with the PDR system.
Just another note: A 512GB card also *does* work with the PDR system...
However, the PDR will only record in up to 99 minute blocks. So, if you want to record a drive longer than 99 minutes (like, say, the Twisted Sisters scenic drive in central Texas), you will need to stop and restart the PDR before the 99 minutes is up.

Reason: Add info about the PDR time limit
Just in case you're curious, the 256G card gives me about 6000+ minutes (100 hours, I guess) of recording, which is plenty. So I presume the 512G would be 200 hours.
I still wish you could set it to come on every vehicle start (like in Valet mode).

Just a point of curiosity, but why would anyone need to record 4 days worth of video? It would be like in the old sitcoms where someone is showing a dinner guest hours worth of slides from their summer vacation.
The files are mp4, so I can remove the card and transfer the files to a PC. I have an old 8gb microSD that will give me 188 minutes of recording time. I can't envision needing to record DAYS worth of driving. Am I missing something?

I put the card in and use it every time I drive as a dash cam. I never have to worry about making room, deleting files, or maintaining it.
I wouldn't want to have to swap out and clean the card every 3 hours....
The 32K card I got at Best Buy for like $16........ 720 some minutes. I just wish the system had an option to always play and loop over the recordings.

As mentioned by others, I use the PDR as a dash cam every time I drive. If I'd have known 512Gb cards worked, I'd have gotten one of those

We got about 10 hours on a 32GB on a road trip to the Black Hills. Does anyone have a suggestion for an editing program? I'd like to eliminate some really boring video.

Thanks,
I use VideoRedo TVSuite v5, but at $95 it may be overkill for just editing 720p PDR files. The red section of the bar are the areas I cut out, green sections are included. Those four green sections are listed in the upper right and are merged together in sequence when saved to another (smaller) video file.
There are probably some freeware progs that would work fine for this purpose, but if so I'm not familiar with them.
