how many tint the rear window on their coupe, or even the side windows. This florida sun can sure beat up a cars inside.
I just had mine done with 3M 'Crystaline', it blocks heat and UV much better than 'regular' tint. It was 93 yesterday and I noticed a HUGE difference with the amount of heat entering the car, I could actually feel my AC!!!!!
After much research, I finally had mine done. Went with 3M ColarStable, 20% on the sides and rear window and 35% on the windshield. Very happy with the results. Haven't been able to get a picture to post.
Texas sun and heat was brutal in my C5 which had no tinting, so put tinting on all windows in my C7 except the windshield. Went with legal limit which I think is 30. It made a huge difference on a recent trip to the Black Hills Classic.
What else would you tint??? Every window on my car has tint, including the windshield.
fleming23,
If you don't mind me asking, what is the percentage tint you have? Did any LEOs give you a hard time because of the windshield tint?
I have an app. to do my tint at the end of August and I want to do a darker tint on the small window and the trunk window but I don't want to get in trouble. We live fairly close.
Rear hatch glass, side windows @ 18%, door glass @ 35% and
windshield 80% with Suntek CXP™ - Non-Metal, Nano-Hybrid, Carbon Construction tint.
Have you had any haze issues with the CXP 80 on the windshield? I keep reading on a whole bunch of forums that it makes the view look slightly hazy when out in the sun whereas the Llumar Air 80 supposedly doesn't.
Also, is it dark enough to get noticed by cops? I was planning to do Suntek CXP 25 - 35 all around and leave the windshield untinted. Now rethinking it (merely for heat rejection).

graj6, I've just got back from a road trip Wash. State to South Lake Tahoe
Suntek CXP windshield @ 80% the tint is so light it's not noticeable. As far as hazing I've haven't had any issues. I mainly went with Suntek CXP to help block UV rays and heat reduction.
Only the 2 side windows. Shop wanted to double the price for the little window (with metallic de-fog strips), & since my convertible top's down most of the time, & I'm in covered parking garage at work all day, no need to tint my small back window...

Do you happen to have HUD? I am worried that using the tint, even 80% might affect that. I have read that there is a difference in a HUD windshield as opposed to a non HUD windshield but I don't know what the difference would be.
