I picked an automatic so I can cycle through my Dokken albums more efficiently.

I, like every other Corvette owners have their personal preference as to transmissions. So you will have to answer that for yourself. For me, I've had one Corvette that was automatic and three others, including current C7, that are manual, and the only regret was the automatic. My requirements for a sports car include a manual. You will need to figure out what your requirements consist of.
