Replacing the windshield on a C5/6/7 introduces many opportunities for leaks around the a-pillars and targa trim. Trying to avoid that is a good thing. My concern would be with dirt and wiper use.
Not to be a jerk (but I will be) the girls used to pull the guys in were smoking hot!! I had to get out of there before I had my windows done on my vette, prius, and house!

My buddy had me take a pic of him with the ladies at County Corvettes.
I drive the Ortega Hwy. to work every day in my C7 and that's akin to Sandblast Alley. My 100k-mile Mini Cooper that did a 5-year tour as my dd on the same hwy. before the C7 has a windshield that is hard to see out of when the sun or headlights shine through it due to the abuse. It and the C7 have full frontal clear bra protection, though, so their paint finishes are in excellent condition. I tried to have my wrap guy apply some Xpel to the C7 windshield but he declined, saying it causes distortion. I was hoping something like this became available at a reasonable price but $900 is too close to the price of a new windshield.
What happens if you get a small crack in the glass with this product? Can the product be removed and reapplied to allow the crack to be fixed or are you out the $900?
The discussion is about chips/debris, not rain! lol!
It's about what will happen to the film after being used in the rain and under wipers. It's an issue many have in racecars when moving to lexan. Personally I kept my glass windshield in my racecar for that very reason.
