I have heard that a wicker spoiler is too much drag on a LT1 motor (460 hp) that our Stingrays have. Is that a fact or an opinion? I was considering a spoiler for my car and had three options from Darr spoilers. I preferred the look of the wicker rather than the flush and the high rise. Don't want to buy one that would slow me down!

I believe that was in reference to the Stage 3 spoiler, that's why you can only get a Stage 1 or 2 on a GS.
That second picture of the white Stingray with the C/F DAR spoiler is my former car an I will tell you this the DAR spoiler is a very high quality spoiler. I went with the stage 2 wicker bill on my Grand Sport if for looks alone.

How did you attach that Jake? Bolts with rear bumper removal first? Or 3M tape?
I would go with the DAR wicker spoiler ( I was thinking of replacing my Z51 spoiler with one) or a Z51 style spoiler IMO I think the high wing spoiler that C7 Jake posted above cheapens the look of the car, to me it looks like a cheap after thought.
Z06 with stage 1,2, and 3. Depending on the track. I've been using stage 3 wicker down to correct an oversteer issue. For street driving, I just out the stage 1 wickers on the car and it looks nice. A little more than the Z51 wing but not too much. It bolts right up too.
Small wicker Z06 stage 1 shouldn't overslow anything. It looks quite nice too.
This is nice as well...where from? I could not order a spoiler on my car so I am trying to find one that I like, but it has to be Race Yellow - no Black.
I purchased the DAR. Easy install, looks great too. There are many to choose from, so best of luck in your search! And DAR paints to match, so if you want a color match, they'll do that for you.

GM Performance parts. It only comes in carbon flash, you'd need to repaint it after the fact. It's a Z06/Z07 spoiler
Can someone give me the amount of downforce generated by the Stage 1 (Z51) spoiler; the Stage 2 (larger end pieces but without the center wicker bill; and the complete Stage 3 spoiler)?
I have heard that the complete Stage 3 with the wicker bill flush with the top of the winglets will cost the average driver about 3 to 4 mils-per-gallon at standard road speeds and want to verify the veracity of that statement.
I have a '16 Z51 with stage 3 wicker for the track. It has seemed to help balance the car out. As far too much drag for highway driving? It's taken my highway MPG down just over 1 MPG.
So going back to my original question. What would be the recommendation? High rise or flush? From what I gather so far the Wicker is out of the question for my car.
