have standard calipers came w/car (2015stingray),I would like to paint them do I need special heat paint ,also do not race car ,if use standard automotive spray paint will they fade after time.
Some have used the decals on the lettering. Are you going that route or doing it with a brush? I am married to an artist who could make them look perfect but if I attempted the task it would look like a 3 yr old did it.
I was disappointed with the G2 system. The finish is not smooth like the OEM. Would be OK on cast iron calipers, which are rough to begin with. If I had it to do over again, I'd powdercoat. I have a local powdercoater that will do it for $30 per caliper.
+1 for the G2 system. The key is to get them really clean and be patient.
But as the other poster said, powdercoating is much, much better but more work and expensive. You can get them powdercoated locally, or there is a forum member over in the C6 section that can powdercoat them for you. I don't think he can 'exchange" c7 calipers yet.
Either way, the car is going to be on jack stands for a while.

From black to red, painted with G2. Works for me...
G2 works fine, you just have to take your time and prep well. Don't load on the paint and don't be afraid to sand and give them a second coat. Anything worth doing is worth doing well.
If you don't want to take the time have them powder coated, not costly if you remove the calipers...again a bit of effort required but will have a stellar finish and look.
