I bought a used 2015 DSOM coupe in April 2015. Then I traded that one in on a brand new 2016 DSOM Z06 (7 miles). Love those Daytona Sunset/Sunrise Orange cars and REALLY love the Z06!!

Well, she did test drive a manual stick coupe a few months ago and was like "wow" and really wants to do the Buyers Tour watching and birthing the car, so it may not take too much convincing. She's been driving her C5 for about 9yr. before that a 96 LT4 black coupe for 5yr.

kids are all married and gone now, time flys, still got the dog though !!

My situation is a little different. I purchased a new C7 in 2015. Due to mechanical problems I got an identical 2016 model via the lemon law.
The photo is actually of my 2015 car.

Was going to order but then found the, almost, perfect car on my dealer's lot.

Ordered. Don't care about depreciation in the sense that I'd rather have what I want versus always wanting.

Purchased my 2014 used with 300 miles - previous owner found out he was terminal shortly after taking delivery. Met him a few weeks after I got the car, nice guy - tough situation.

Car now has 42k miles - enjoy them while you can.

Ordered my 2015 vert, and just ordered it's replacement, a 2017 Grand Sport vert, last Thursday.

Ordered my 2015 exactly how I wanted it. It's cool having my name on the little plaque on the center console. I was going to do the museum delivery but didn't want to risk having it be too cold in the winter to have her released from Bowling Green.

1974 was first new one and have been new since. Started special ordering in 1988 and have continued that wonderful "order exactly what you want" trend since..

Drove to dealer to order my 2016 DSOM car with the options I knew I wanted. Got out of my truck and sitting in the line up was the car I came home with. It had options I never thought about, but It was love at first sight. It's not DSOM, but I can live with that.....

Saw it, bought it, didn't know a thing about it. Turned out to be a 2014 Z51 3LT with 1000 miles on it. Love it!

Had a 96 with the LT4 that I bought as a one owner car with low mileage. Sold it about 10 yrs ago. I really missed it. Well 10 yrs later I decided that if I am going to get a brand new one, I would order it to get exactly what I wanted. Ordered from Mike at Criswell, best car buying experience I have ever had, and I have bought a lot of cars over the years.

Being in southern Virginia, I have always bought white cars. When I decided I wanted a vette I knew it was time for a change up. Wife, friends and relatives were amazed when I bought this black on black Stingray Z51. Black just looks so bad on Corvettes and I keep it inside and only really drive it for fun, black is great. After months of decisions (black/white, M7/A8) and such, I came to this. Black, black 2LT interior, Z51, NPP, MRC, A8, noNAV and chrome 19"/20" wheels. Found one at local dealer had everything but chrome wheels. Switched the black with the chrome on a gray vert and perfect. Pricing much better than I expected. Next one I'll order and do a factory pickup but wanted to see how much I like Corvettes first. Coming off 3 Lexus cars, it is an adjustment.

So far, ha, love the thing even if I don't drive it much.

Had spec of what I wanted, shopped it by phone with a number of dealers. Was just about to leave the office when a brand new post from Tim Boone, Boardwalk Corvettes, Redwood City, CA. showed up with TWO cars, deeply discounted. Drove over & bought it and have loved it ever since. (Ok, only been four months, but still)
