I had the same bubbles in the windshield. The dealer ordered a new windshield under my warranty. The new windshield cam in with the same problem. Thy had the GM Rep look into this, it seems that its a manufacturing defect. The reordered the glass and the new one came in perfect.
And here I thought I was the only one with that problem.
Here's a better shot, there are four of these along the top. They don't look too bad compared to close up .

Came across a recent ad for a 1982 Corvette with only 845 miles on the odometer. The dealer put up 25 hi res detail shots of the car to show condition. This is one of them. Looks like Bowling Green has had this issue for 35 years!
Dear Fellow Sufferers of this embarrassing problem on your $70k car
Here's my solution. It blends in very well. Go to your nearest Autozone, pick up one of these ridiculous pin stripe rolls and use the 1/16 stripe to take care of the issue. No one has noticed it yet on my car and a bunch of car friends have seen it since I took it out of storage a few weeks ago. An easy, $5 solution.
Blown up pic to show that it really does blend in well. I hope the bubbles don't grow, but so far, no reason to believe they are not cosmetic. Have not grown at all.
I know this post is somewhat dated, however to anyone experiencing these windshield issues, I offer the following from a recent post of mine:
...on driver's side - area about 1/4" wide and about 3" long at roofline. Called my S/A and was informed this is a warranty fix as long as the car is less than 3 yrs old, has less than 36k miles, and it's the original windshield. He said he's seen this before, and has a glass installer he's used for Corvettes since '01.
He also said it will be GM OEM, not a secondary source, and will be done in the service dept. He also mentioned the part was $1200.00 not counting labor. I'm taking it in tomorrow, and a service mgr. has to approve the fix.
I'm cautiously optimistic everything will go well.
Update:
The fix was approved and the parts (glass plus seals) were ordered. Should arrive within a week.
My intention is to let people know this is a warranty issue if addressed during the initial warranty period (per my S/A).
Thank You for finding my post and updating the rest of us. I've already discussed it with my dealer, but I have 34,000 miles or 2yrs and 3 months to get a stone chip. Then I'll take it in. I'm sure others are much closer to the end of their warranty and will appreciate your update.
My dealer got three windshields in and all were defective. A 4th arrived broken. Then a big delay. Suddenly old part number was replaced with a new one. New windshield arrived and was perfect. I assume the new part number means the scrapped all of the old ones and a new windshield is now available.
Mine was replaced on my 2015 AW under warranty, but I have to tell you a little story.
It was replaced with a factory GM windshield and I started to have a major water leak on the left inside cabin. Right by your left foot. The dealer thought it was a faulty windshield and had Safellite (who the original install) replace it again. They put in another GM windshield, but the problem was the same. Being that it was under warranty, as far as I was concerned it Chevy's problem.
To make a very long and annoying story short, when they replaced the first windshield, they cracked the driver side outside plastic A pillar. With that cracked it let water seep in at the top run down between the windshield and the pillar and would leak into the cabin at the base of the A pillar.
They found it replaced it and all in the world is good again. So the moral to the story is make sure they don't crack that plastic A pillar.

I bought my 15 coupe with just under 19k miles. The windshield was pretty sandblasted with lots of small pits. Thanks to this forum I learned about the windshield bubbles. Mine had the exact same problem and was replaced under warranty. Now I have a nice new windshield with no pits. Thanks GM.
