I might be mistaken, but I thought that the driving mode was always Tour when the car is first started. Mine used to do that. But for the last few weeks, it has been starting in whichever mode it was in when I shut the car off. Anyone else see this??

If you shut it off in T or S, it will start out in whatever mode you left it in. All other Modes will start off in T.

This is how mine works. It wakes in the mod I shut it off in.

I guess it's something changed between the A6 and A8, then.

However, I have noticed after it is shut off, and the display is still visible before the door is opened, it will always display T, no matter which mode the car was in when shut down.

We drive ours in S and when they shut down the switch to T. When we start up it is in T them switches to S again.

Same thing in ECO.

Weather and Track modes revert back to Tour on restart.

If I turn mine off in Track, it always starts up in Tour. If I turn it off in Tour, it restarts in Tour. If I turn it off in Sport, it restarts in Sport. A8

If you put it in track mode and shut it off it will NEVER start back up in track mode.
I leave mine in sport always and it starts back up in sport mode.
