That's exactly what I was thinking. Everyone from this area is going to be headed to Atlanta, and traffic is going to be horrible. Thinking to just keep going and hit Bowling Green, but getting to and around Atlanta is going to be the hard part.

IF you decide to stay, hard to beat either alternative (set up a service appt., multi-level parking garage) Good luck in whatever you do, and be safe.

We're leaving for PA tomorrow night around 12:00 but I'm not worried about the storm as much as getting gas. If I can fill up in northern FL I can make it easily into middle of SC.

Be safe. The car is insured and can be replaced. Human life is more important.

Right on. Did the same in New Orleans when I lived there.

Dealers have to pack their service with current customers cars first, they will not take in new work right before a storm. They have a duty to try and protect as many cars as they can, and usually run out of room and ask owners to pick up their cars before the storm.

Looks like central missed the main part of the storm, Anyway one of my wifes co-workers was going away so I put my car in her garage. If she still has power I will bring the car home tomorrow. All is good.

The city of Virginia Beach (Virginia's largest city) lets residents park in city garges for free during hurricanes. Policy has saved many cars.
