Default Nav System defaults

I have read both the Infotainment and Owners manuals and cannot find anywhere which permits me to set the defaults on the Nav Sys as to which state I drive in.

Specifically, everytime I go into the Nav Sys for driving directions it defaults to West Virginia. Now, I personally, have nothing but admiration for that fine state and its citizens but I live in the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a matter of fact, the Virginia-West Virginia border is over 50 miles to the west of where I live.

Once I force the change by manually changing to the correct state it works correctly, I just want it to start in the correct state so that I do not have to manually enter the correct state.

Any suggestions?

If you go to the Corvette Action Center and look at their "Knowledge Database" under the C7 - Electrical and Ignition Section, you will see the following Service Bulletin..

#PIC6177A - It describes the exact problem you are having but says GM is developing a solution but it is not available. The bulletin is dated Sept 16, 2016

Note... I wasn't looking for this but saw the bulletin and remembered your post. Hope this helps.
