Default GM brand side splitters

Two years ago, for ~$100+, GM sold a basic front splitter for the Stingray.

There was brief discussion of similar side splitters from GM for the (is this correct) West Coast and East Coast editions, but to my knowledge these never came to fruition.

Is GM (part number) now making side splitters that fit the Stingray (not the Z06 parts)?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you, but the inquiry was regarding GM brand side splitters. A GM Parts man on the Forum had said that GM had not moved forward with their side splitters, but that was two years ago. I am assuming that they never resurrected the plan. Again, thank you.

Again, if anyone knows the GM part numbers, it would be appreciated.

Thank you once again.

What some are trying to explain is that the GM products are way over priced for what one gets. Weapon X Motorsport, a forum vendor has imho much better quality products for less. That is what I have installed on both the base C7 and the Z06.

MikeTX,

I understood from the onset that input was directed at financial savings.

I tried, likely failed, to be specific and direct. I appreciate the recommendations and may pursue one of the alternatives.

My original GM Part inquiry was not based upon any financial concerns.

Sometime this winter, I shall move to a Z06/Z07 3LZ coupe if I find one that I like. My current Z51 coupe turned 4k miles today.

Again, my thanks for everyone's input.

Here are the GM OEM side skirt / rocker aero options. The new for 2017 3/4 length were introduced on the C7 GS, and I believe are now standard on the Stage 1 Z06 as well. Pricing will vary with dealer.

Here's a link of the 3/4 with pics in the FS section. I can't find a PN, but a parts guy should be able to look it up under a 2017 C7 GS.:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...0-shipped.html

EDIT: found PN in ebay ad: 84048241 BUT... This may be the supplier PN...not GM?? (CSP is Continental Structural Plastics)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2017-corvett...-/272368089472

Other options:

Full length carbon flash (PN 23268776, 23268777):

Full length exposed carbon fiber (PN 23268778, 23268779):

Great information. Very helpful.

I agree that these are not likely GM Part numbers. I do like how they look on the base Corvette.

I to wanted to go with the GM side skirts on my Z06. Then I spoke with Cultrag. The darn things are on back order with no end in sight. Just as with the top issue, GM's supplier is able to produce that which is needed for projected and current production levels at BG. That is why I went to the aftermarket.

MikeyTX,

Thank you for the clarification. It sounds as though supply dictates what can be bought at this time. And lack thereof.

Yup. I wanted the GM stage 2 splitter and side skirts in CFM to match the vents and base of the spoiler. Patrick at Cultrag gave me the bad news. I went to him after my local parts source said no can do just to make sure they knew what they were talking about at the local level. So much for trying to keep it all genuine GM parts.

So in summary, you went with Cultrag, and you are pleased?

I called Patrick at Cultrag to validate what my local Chevy parts man told me, that being that the parts are are on indefinite back order to dealers for resale.
