Default Need window sticker price

Newbie here, so if I have this in the wrong place or do something wrong, please correct me.

I'm considering pulling the trigger on a '14 Roadster and was given the build sheet but haven't been able to locate the window sticker. I don't know enough about the options to know which are included in the 3LZ interior, for example, or extra cost. Any body that could help me with this would be appreciated.

The car is NRB with blue interior and Brownstone leather with suede inserts. LZ3, M7, Z51, magnetic shocks, chrome wheels, carbon fiber dash. Not sure about power top. 6400 miles. Anybody care to offer an opinion about if this is a good deal or no? Price negotiated to $51,500.

There is no such thing as a 2014 3LZ or LZ3. 3LZ is the top Preferred Equipment Group on the Z06 of which there were none built for 2014. LZ3 does not exist at all.

Something doesn't sound right to me. There has never been a blue interior with Brownstone leather offered. If you shoot me the car's VIN I can do a look-up for you.

He's probably referring to a 14 Premier Edition, blue with brown interior. Just my .02

I was under the impression that 'LT' was the designation for the coupe interior and 'LZ' for the roadster. Thanks for the heads up that 'LZ' is for the Z06 cars only.

And I meant 'blue top', not blue interior. The edit button comes in handy when you're half asleep and type something that makes no sense.

The VIN is:1G1YL3D71E5108231. I appreciate the offer to look it up for me.

Click on your own Vin # in the above post. It took me to a Vin Decoder page that gave all the info.
In case you have trouble go here:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...YL3D71E5108231

It is a 3LT and the price their asking seems high, especially since Kerbecks recently sold 2016 leftovers at the same price or less.
Example: Todays 'deal of the day' is a 2016 Z-51 coupe for $53k

Using your VIN # provided....this 2014 C7 is a convertible.

I would suggest Kerbeck the #1 Corvette dealer in the USA. Shop what they have and compare MSRP to the 2014 and what you can but a new 2016 or 2017 from Kerbeck.

They are the #1 Corvette dealer for a reason. Best pricing models and salesmanship.

That's pretty cool. I had no idea there was such a tool available.

I looked over your inventory and didn't see any Z51 3LT roadsters in stock. I'm looking for some pretty specific color combos also: NRB or one of the reds with Karahari or Brownstone.

I'll take my time and get the particular car I want.

Thanks for your interest.

It's interesting to read that the car I mentioned is not a particularly great deal. Most of the cars I'm considering have original window stickers of around $82 or 83K. I've checked Kerbeck and other big dealers and not found anything with 10k miles or less and stickers in that range for less. I certainly don't want to pay more than I have to and if there's any cars out there that meet my requirements for less, I would certainly appreciate the lead.

Also, can anyone tell me if the FE7 adjustable shocks is a stand alone option or part of the Z51 or 3LT package?

Someone mentioned that the '16 cars had many improvements over the earlier C7...I would appreciate any additional info on that also.

These forums are worth their weight in gold to me. The collective knowledge of owners far exceed anything out of a magazine or what the dealer knows. I'm a member of the GoldWingRiders board and couldn't do without it. Thanks in advance for all the help I'm getting on here.

I don't mean to nitpick but there is no FE7 RPO code associated with the 2014 Corvette. The RPO codes for suspensions in 2014 were:
  • FE1 - non-Z51 Stingray
  • FE2 - Z51 Stingray without magnetic ride control
  • FE4 - Z51 with magnetic ride control
FE4 was available only as a stand alone option and only on Stingrays with Z51. It was available with all PEGs (1LT / 2LT / 3LT).

Lynndm,

If you are trying to determine 2014 or 2015 pricing, look at the ordering guides in this section of the sticky threads. Lots of good stuff here including manuals:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...cking-etc.html

2016 & 2017 pricing on the Chevy web site:

http://www.chevrolet.com/build-your-own-chevrolet.html#

Specs and year to year changes at the museum site here:

http://www.corvettemuseum.org/learn/...orvette-specs/

Seems like you have some research to do.

Have Fun!

I highly suggest that you consider what RonC7 has stated above. I would certainly complete a "Build A Corvette" on the GM website.

Build the C7 the way you would want. Compare a used 2014 to a new C7 and consult with Dave directly at Kerbeck. Many times ordering the exact C7 that you want is the best posture regarding ownership. I am sure the price point difference what you can buy a used 2014 C7 3LT from a dealer which will most likely want dealer retail pricing, Kerbeck's price point for a new made to order 2017 C7 wouldn't be much higher.

Perhaps you make a few sacrifices on the 2017 "Build A Corvette" to help meet your budget that might be close or a certain percentage higher over the 2014 MY.

In 9 more months, the 2014 MY will then be 4 years old and out of any OEM GM warranty.

Just some food for thought.

I'm also thinking that the A6 transmission in the '14s will date the car. I'm opting for the M7 in a '14 but either one in the later models. Does this make sense?

The VIN Decoder shown above will not give you the MSRP of your particular vehicle. It just shows the base price of whatever model w/ no options. It also doesn't list any of the options associated w/ a particular VIN, such as MSRC.

I just entered my VIN, which is a '14 Z51 conv, 2LT, NPP, MSRC and equipped w/ all other available options that year. It doesn't reflect the actual MSRP price as it's equipped. My car's MSRP was $74K, even though the VIN decoder above for my vehicle also shows it at $62K--same price as the 3LT car shown in post #6. However, that has to be the MSRP for a '14 Z51 1LT w/ no optional equipment.

The 3LT convertible you're looking at for $51K likely had an MSRP of $78K and may be a VERY good deal. In fact, I'm wondering if it has an accident in it's history because that is a very low price.

Options not included in VIN Decoder, just basic model info.

It is a 3LT and the price their asking seems high, especially since Kerbecks recently sold 2016 leftovers at the same price or less.
Example: Todays 'deal of the day' is a 2016 Z-51 coupe for $53k
No one found a leftover 2016 Z51 3LT convertible, fully-optioned as OP described at anywhere near $53K.

Foosh, the $53K car was a '14. If I stated that incorrectly earlier, my bad.

I'm pretty sure the 3 cars I've found at that price are clean. I won't consider one if it's had more than one owner and I like to deal on a car that was sold new by the current selling dealer.

Doug, I wasn't responding to you, but to the person I quoted. The problem with comparison threads like this is that people are often comparing apples and oranges.

My point was a new "left-over" 2016 sold for $53K is for a coupe w/ an original MSRP of $63K and few or no options.

By contrast, the '14 car you described in your OP was a convertible, which are significantly more expensive than coupes, was fully-loaded w/ options, and had an MSRP more in the neighborhood of $78K.
