Im in the process in adding front grill camera's to my 2016 Stingray. Has anyone done this? Is there special hardware to buy besides the grill w/ cameras?
Pretty sure it can be done but a few issues. 1) is the car pre-wired for it? If not thats a big one. 2) You might need the BCM flashed to add that option to the car.
Grills are selling cheap enough w/the cameras since guys are swapping to the Z grill. You might have to be patient zero on this one.

I would start with checking for the wiring if its present. If its not that may be more than its worth right there. Just add it with 3rd party product. Sorry dont remember the name.

Not prewired on 1LT. Cannot upgrade with OEM parts on a 1LT.
Before the Navtool Fiasco, I prewired the dual front cameras on a '15. I used a RV security system to be able to split the display between each of the two front cameras. The OEM cameras are crap. I ended up ripping them out and installing a high quality single camera mounted in the center instead. Much better. You see, you need the logic module GM provides in the 2LT/3LT and no one I have found has figured out how to obtain that module, wire up and make it work. So aftermarket with a single high quality camera is your only shot.
I do have a post here on how to build the harness to wire up the GM dual cameras on this forum somewhere. The connectors are available from Mouser.
