The "Little Things" thread
Just dropped in two 6.5" Mid/woof with 1" soft dome tweets and a couple of 8" subs in my other car. Didn't cost much but sounds WAY better than the Bose system in the vette.
Manufacturers keep putting more and more speakers in when taking that same amount of money and putting it into a few quality speakers with a quality amp would sound so much better. I know it's a marketing thing and I spend most of my time listening to that sweet exhaust anyway so it's a little thing but the stock upgraded sound system really sucks.
When car manufactures brag about a car with 15 speakers, it's all BS.
That would be so tacky though.

Those indicator arrows are hard to see and more than once I've found them still blinking after changing lanes on the freeway when I had my music playing loud...
Thought since the C7 cup holders were slightly deeper than my C6 they might hold a full water bottle I always have in the car.
When I got my September 2013 built C7 Z51 I bought a C7 Chevy logo bottle that fits snug with some felt pads added. Worked for a few weeks at high "g" turns. Had to stop suddenly and found the center divider was not very secure and tilted with the bottle. Water all over!
Recently improved on my initial design that has worked and it's simple.
Removed the ~3/32 thickness rubber pad under the divider, (it just pulls up.) Then used UV activated plastic adhesive and made a fillet from the divider to the bottom.
The Chevy bottle, full of water, holds in 1 "g" turns and 1+ "g" stops!
Easy solution has held for 3 years in 1+ "g" turns and stops with full bottle of water! New easy method. First, removed the ~3/32 rubber pad from under the divider (it pulls up.) Second use UV activated plastic adhesive and make a fillet from the divider to the bottom, both sides. Lots of time to make it smooth, then turn on the UV light-great stuff!

That's why it's nice to have a visual reminder. Every car I've ever driven up until now has had them where they could be readily seen.
I have enough to focus on trying to stay away from distracted drivers texting or holding their phone. Frankly even a Blue Tooth conversation is somewhat distracting! If it's important, I'll see it when I turn my phone back on when I stop!
And let me add another one: Turn signals in the HUD!
