Reason: add 2LT
Picked up my 2014 non z51 in November of 2013. Currently have about 24,000 miles on it. No complaints. Couple of recalls as previous posts have stated. Also had the torsion bar replaced and touch screen replaced. All under warrantee. Love the car.

I've had mine for over 2 years without issues. Albeit I only have 10k miles on it. My buddy has his with 50k miles and very few issues other that the odd recall as others have stated. Great car!! Lots of fun to drive.
I did months of research earlier this year when I was thinking about trading in my '12 GS. I came to the conclusion that a 2014 would be best. I can't drive stick due to a knee injury so I needed an auto. The A6 had some reported issues, a lot less than the A8s, so win there.
You can get a very good price on a '14 that could have just been was I call a "Sr citizen lease", which mine was, only 8k and the thing looked better than the 2016s on the lot. Still smelt factory new.
From 3 months of ownership I can tell you a few things to look at. Check the paint all the way around at the seams. '14s had some paint issues. Look at the body panels, '14s had alignment issues. Make sure it has all the software updates too. These can all be fixed under the factory bumper to bumper, just ask when it runs out so you can determine if you need an extension. Big plus is that the '14s came with the 100k mile power train so if you aren't planning on modding the car too much you'll be golden.
The '14s are proving to be one of the least problematic of first model years, EVER.
+1
I had a 1998 C5 convertible (1st year of the convertible) and it was, without a doubt, the worst car I've ever owned in terms of reliability. Too many unscheduled stops to count.
I also had a 2005 C6 convertible. It had the standard early C6 issues (DBS, clutch pack noise), 3 unscheduled stops
I now have a 2014 C7 convertible (bought March 2014). It has had ZERO unscheduled stops. The ONLY things fixed on it were the shock recall and airbag recall, both of which were handled at oil changes. NOTHING has broken.
