Once the new shop is fully up to speed we should see a capacity for more than 10 colors. BTW, if you think our color selection is poor, take a look at what other makes (e.g. Volvo, Mercedes Benz) offer. 80% of their colors are shades of black, white, silver, or gray.
Thought I heard opposite that, the older continued colors will be out of the old paint shop and the new colors will be in the new one at first?

I heard the term "legacy" colors used for current on going colors.

Not only will you see some new colors in 2018 you will have a few more. I do know for sure a white diamond type color is on its way and a color similar to Dark Bowling green ( a blackish green) will also return at some point.

Default White Diamond/Pearl White

I hope your correct on some variation of Pearl White......I haven't seen White Diamond for awhile but GM has been offering Crystal White for a couple of years now! I know they have wanted to do a Pearl White on Corvettes for sometime but couldn't get the panels to match properly......this color would look incredible on a C7!!

My wife has a Buick with Diamond White. The color looks great but I can see a difference in color when comparing metal vs. plastic painted pieces.

Curious what changes turned you off that much?

I had a white 14 and now a black 16. Went to look for a 17 and looked at cars at 3 dealers. The amount of orange peel on all the 17s regardless of color was unacceptable.

I am now thinking of going the used route. I usually order my cars to get exactly what I want but would have to refuse a car with heavy orange peel.

Problem is I have to wait a few years to get a used 17 or 18.

GM puts that kind of money in a paint shop for a low production car you'd think for a premium they would offer custom colors!

Paint shop..Paint shop....yes of course the quality of and perhaps the amount of colors sure be much better...

But if you believe all that money and all that space is just for a paint shop, never mind the old paint shop space...come over here I have a bridge you might like to purchase.

It going to be at least on new assembly line.!!

How much are you asking for the bridge?

The diamond pearl white sounds exciting and should be a good seller. The dark, blackish green was tried in 2001. It bombed out terribly. Less than 1000 units were sold. You'd think such a low number would result in a high resale value, but that hasn't happened. Maybe a dark green like the 1965 or 1967 offerings would be a better idea.

Need to bring back Velocity Yellow, it was a much better color than CRY. Need to add a bright orange and lime green a la Huracan. The C7s line are made for it. Matte finishes like the BMW "frosteds" would be nice also. Let's step it up.
