So, first off Costco confirmed via email the 700.00 gift card and survey are on the way. Now the fun part. COSTCO advised I do not get anything back on the car and discounts could have been applied because the dealership advised they gave me all discounts they could apply from GM. Funny part is I paid sticker.... Now Costco wants all my documents on showing I paid full price and the dealership showing these mysterious discounts........
Bought a new 2017 GS CE and the dealership advised it is not eligible for the Costco/Chevrolet holiday discount pricing. I bought the car anyways, got home, and called Costco. They said the dealership was basically full of crap. Costco advised they would call GM and the dealership to get this resolved. I just wonder what's next, time will tell.........
Did you sign into the Costco Auto Buy site and get a dealer name and GM authorization number from Costco prior to visiting the dealer? Did you present that info to the dealer prior to purchase? Seems having that info up front would have cleared up things. Sample attached.

Good for Costco sending you the $700 gift card and for being willing to get in the middle of this for you. Looking forward to hearing what the dealership decides should there be any outside pressure on them from Costco.
lot of sleaze gm dealerships and the forum is loaded with horror stories-i have my own for sure. BUT i had two wonderful dealerships that i did buy corvettes from. YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND ALWAYS BE WILLING TO WALK.

Hold tight please. They are BIG and I don't want to bash if they make it right due to an oversight. If they don't play nice, you will know, trust me. If they admit that they told me they didn't give the discount, instead of telling Costco they did, and things are made right, well......
why wouldn't you call costco before signing the papers? i guess cause dealers are known to be honest and upstanding and taken at their word... thats a nice chunk of change you missed out on
Well thanks for listening and reading my rants. So, since my GS CE was a special factory order it DOES NOT apply to the Costco discount. They showed me and it does say that special factory orders do not apply, shame on me for not reading the fine print. Anyways, I'm good and the dealership did their job with no BS. Costco went above and beyond doing the homework and research, to find this all out. So, in the end, I still get my 700.00 card that they promised and an additional 250.00 Costco gift card for the wait, my patience, and the time spent waiting on results. So, I have my Vette and I'm happy. Then Costco gives me 700 plus 250............all I have to say is GM and Costco rule!!!!!!

What is a "special factory order"? I factory ordered my Cadillac XT5 through a Costco approved dealership and got a very good price.
I work for a GM dealership and if the rebate is available you will get it, the dealer makes nothing more or less regardless. The rebate goes to the buyer, not the selling dealership. We put in the VIN of the car and that tells use if the rebate applies. In this case, the GS was not part of the rebate, Dealership did nothing wrong!
