Bought a new 2017 GS CE and the dealership advised it is not eligible for the Costco/Chevrolet holiday discount pricing. I bought the car anyways, got home, and called Costco. They said the dealership was basically full of crap. Costco advised they would call GM and the dealership to get this resolved. I just wonder what's next, time will tell.........
if you are referring to the GS Collectors Edition, they are only building 1000 of those (850 to US dealers), so I'm not really surprised that no discounts are available.
I do realize a refund isn't coming, but just would like to see where this goes. Costco says that the dealership is required to issue supplier pricing based on what they say. I did realize the CE is usually MSRP and I knew I was going to pay it, so no biggy. Worst case I have a 700.00 Costco gift card coming.
Costco is generally very good about these things and will honor it from their end.
As for a dealer? well, you've already set your expectations accordingly.
oh boy...this should be interesting. If costco is in the right, that dealer is in big trouble. Depending on how many strikes, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose their deal in working with costco...

I purchased my 1LT yesterday. The finance guy did told me about the Costco program which I didn't even know about. He also did the paperwork. By the time I drove my AWESOME car (man... That V8...) home, I had an email from costco waiting on me. Here's the text... Did I mention that V8 ? I never had one before. It's..... hypnotizing :

I just read the fine print in Costco's magazine. The deal applies to "participating dealers," which is the same language by GM to all dealers regarding Supplier pricing. Meaning, a dealer can refuse to participate but then can't give any Supplier price, under the program, on any model in their dealership, as I understand it.
That does't mean they can't give the price at all; it just means they aren't bound by the GM deal terms. So, if the Costco rep is certain that your dealer IS participating (say, has already made a deal on a GM car using the Costco program), then the dealer has problems. If not, the dealer won't get hassled, and the OP won't get anything.
