^^^ I like the trim on the steering wheel and Console shifter, but the shades of the red do not match the adrenaline interior colors, it would look much nicer if the color matched.
It really does look better in person....I have won BEST INTERIOR in 2 of the car shows I entered. I also have done much more to the exterior but I won't post those pictures as I have lost my FLAME SUIT.
Frankly, I like the console as-is from the factory. It's simplistic yet functional. I have very few urges to upgrade anything in the interior outside of Lloyd Mats and a better steering wheel.
Not sure what kind of material that is, but it doesn't look like carbon fiber to me. Fitment in the upper right corner also looks a bit...GM. Regardless, I removed the words carbon fiber from my original post because it seems like that's causing everyone to completely miss the point.
^I like water-transfer printing. I think it's a neat way to apply graphics to an object.
However, that fake carbon fiber pattern that hydrodippers use is absolutely terrible. It has no depth, doesn't have that CF sparkle, and the pattern is all over the place with random curves and distortion here and there, that come with water transfer printing. Hydrodipped CF just looks like a very obvious cheap fake.
I think putting a hydrodipped piece in that nasty fake carbon fiber next to the dash, which uses actual real carbon fiber, is an insult to your car.
Also calling it "full CF" is dishonest. There isn't a lick of carbon fiber in that.
^Heh, sweetie, one thing you'll quickly learn is that there is absolutely nothing anybody can say on a forum can "get my panties at twisted up" (whatever that means.) You're not worth it. And I shouldn't be to you, neither.
Further, you'll want to make sure that you actually *read* what people say. Nowhere did I mention you shouldn't do what you want to your car. I also mentioned I like hydro dipping. I fully support the idea that if you want to do it, do it. I simply expressed my opinion about it, something that encourages discourse and conversation. And, evidently, condescending accusations of "panties at twisted up." :P
But, back on subject, the console piece is flat and easy enough that somebody could do a carbon fiber overlay, should they be willing to put in the time and effort. It might come out looking pretty good:
