A8 problem corrected
For any member who has had A8 tranny problems of fluctuating RPMs while travelling at a constant speed, the following will list the corrective repairs my dealership completed on my 2015 base: Reprogrammed the TCM with updated software and performed Learn procedure all to no avail. The Corvette tech then contacted T.A.C. and received a Case # and instructions to replace the TC, remove transmission and replace stator support with revised parts and to flush the transmission cooler. Hope this might help those with this specific problem. Do not know what or who T.A.C. is but will assume it is in Detroit and is now aware of this problem and the corrective measures required. That was the choice I took. GM could not repair it properly and I was tired of constantly bringing it in having them pile miles on the car and then be told it was fixed when it wasn't.
