SD Card: 32mb = How long?

First of all, I've got a 128GB SD card that works great - any size card will work if you format it in FAT32 before using it.
Here's a picture of my screen with a 32GB SD card in it - I added up all the recorded sessions and they added up to 583 minutes, and there are still 151 minutes remaining. That gives a total of 734 minutes on my 32GB card:
Below is with an empty 16GB card, and it has more than 6 hours it can record:

There have been a lot of threads on this over the years. 32GB cards and smaller typically come pre formatted in FAT32. Larger cards are typically formatted in exFAT. This is where the myth that 32GB is the largest card the PDR can use cames from.
Any size card will work as long as it is formatted in FAT32. If you are using a Windows machine to format the card, you will need a third party utility to reformat any card larger than 32GB to FAT32 (Windows will do 32GB cards and smaller natively). This is what I did, I am running a 64GB card.
Here are some previous threads:

Youtube video showing to to reformat the card, says it's for using a larger card in phones but it is the same thing for the PDR:

Nutshell, you should be able to go up to 128GB cards... assuming the recording system has no issues with it.
* most manufactures use the FAT file system on 32GB cards and smaller
* Larger capacity , ie 128GB cards , can be formated to the FAT file system if you are good with computers
* For those of us that are older, have older computers, are not very tech oriented , and I fall into all those categories you can buy a 32GB card and just plug it into the glove box and then press " record " on the PDR...............my kind of easy.
